I was so sorry to read of Phils passing. I conducted a number of surveys and research projects through the University of Delaware for Phil when he was VP at Christiana Care, and we kept up occasionally over the years. Phil continued to impress me as a man of great integrity, empathy, substance, and thoughtfulness. I greatly enjoyed working with him. He helped me at one point decades ago when a doctor diagnosed me with nodules on my vocal cords and informed me that I needed an operation. I...

I was lucky to be mentored by Phil for many years and once even had the honor to team-teach a class with him at UD. He was a true public servant and gave so much to Delaware. I'm grateful to be part of his legacy!

It was sad to learn of Phil's passing. I served under Phil's direction as a Cancer Center volunteer in the 1990's at the medical center prior to rebranding as Christiana Care Corporation. Phil was a forward-thinker in establishing an Internet presence for the Center in that era. Having been educated in hospital administration and public health, I believe Phil exemplified how hospital systems should be marketed and managed. He was talented in so many respects!

My wife Sandi and I send "our Prayers for the Peace that Passeth Understanding" on passing of Phil Wescott.

Phil and I were close, for years almost like brothers, and I thought of him that way, although we were less in touch since he had relocated to the Delaware beaches. We last traded catch-up emails just a few weeks ago.
