Not sure what to say?

She was a beautiful and gracious lady. I know she will be missed by all who knew her.

Warm Summer Sun

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.

Aunt Polly is the most gracious lady I have ever known. She epitomized all the wonderful charcteristics of what a Southern lady should be. She welcomed us into her family as if we were her own, knowing that if her little brother believed something to be good, then it was good. She will be missed by many, and welcomed into heaven by many more.

May the God of comfort be with your family at this difficult time.

I fell in love with Polly and Charles in the 80s when my friend Nan Backstrom, a resident of St. Catherine's for several years, and I were on the same Pacific/Northwest tour. We visited in their home later and Charles took us on a fishing trip in his boat with an electric motor. It was the first time I had ever caught Bream, as fast as he could bait my hook!

If I can find my photos I'll be happy to send them to any of you nieces or nephews.

My heartfelt condolences. ...

I remember Polly's graciousness and hospitality during the times we visited her and our other kinfolk in Taylorsville in the 1960s and 70s. She was a wonderful and loving woman, and our side of the Smith family will cherish her memory.
