My heart goes out to the family in their hour of sorrow and pain. I met Prescott's sister - Wendy back in the early 1980's at the First Wisconsin National Bank. I have since lost contact, but my prayers are with you. Wendy please call me at 770.788.8705 when you get a chance. I love you and God Bless.

To return home to news of our loss of a friend such as Prescott is crushing.
It has been such a privilege to know Prescott. His contagious smile, his vital involvement in so many endeavors, his determination to bring joy to others will be with us forever.

I met Prescott in 1964 when we were both high school freshman. We crossed paths intermittently over the years. Prescott surely had more than his fair share of gifts and good qualities, but what I most remember was an easy laughter and a gentle caring way. I’m sure that everyone who knew him, either distantly or close, is grateful for the opportunity and very saddened by the loss.

Prescott was a member of the LX Club and a great friend. We will miss him a lot and never forget his contributions to us in the form of some of the best entertainment we have ever had.
I would like to take this opportunity to collectively express our grief over his passing. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies for your loss.

Prescott had a keen intellect and a sense of curiosity. He set goals for himself and achieved them. I always admired him for these things.
The last time I saw him was at Schwartz's bookstore where he was making a presentation to a sizable audience. He was a remarkable person who made an impact. My condolences to the entire Wurlitzer family.

Roller blading in Cuba, making balloon animals for kids in Iran, trekking in the Amazon, sharing all these experiences with his photos--these are my memories of Prescott. Always a joy to be with, he leaves a big gap in my life. My heart goes out to Fran and his loving family.

Prescott was a frequent and very welcome visitor to the North Shore Library. We all enjoyed his exuberance immensely. Not only was he a very good friend of the library, serving on the Foundation board, he was also a great personal friend. He never failed to surprise us with his enthusiasm for books and artwork, and his tremendous interest in the world at large. Those of us involved with children's books appreciated his arranged author visits. We're going to miss Prescott greatly.
