Priscilla Lillian (Davis) Bates, 62, lifelong resident of Manchester, CT died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at a rehabilitation facility in Bristol after an extended illness. She was born in Manchester on February 2, 1954, daughter of the late Frank E. and Laura M. (Nelson) Davis. She attended local schools and graduated from Manchester High School in 1973. She had been employed by various retail stores in the Manchester area. Priscilla is survived by her daughter and son, Kimberly Anderson of Morehead City, NC, and Kevin Bates of Manchester; four grandchildren; Naomi, Keirstan, and Dylan Anderson, and Erika Bates; her brother, Timothy A. Davis and his wife, Victoria of Manchester, four nieces and nephews, a grandniece, and several lifelong friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Edwin P. Davis. There are no public services or burial. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The Holmes Funeral Home in Manchester has care of arrangements. Priscilla was a sweet Lady. I have know her for twenty years and during that time I never heard her speak negatively about anyone. She will be missed.

My sympathy to the whole family. Ironically I thought of Priscilla a few weeks ago and I was trying to remmember the last name so I could try to get in touch. I finally remembered it and then happened to open up the courant and see this. Breaks my heart that I never got to re-connect. I have fond memories of Priscilla and Kim and Kevin on Ridgewood St in Manchester many years ago when the kids were young. I remember her famous goulash to this day. May you rest in peace Priscilla.
