Not sure what to say?

Heston was a guiding light and wonderful part of my childhood. I spent many hours in the Havens' household as my mother, Pat (Graves) Gentry was his secretary for 21 years. He gave me my first job as a file clerk in his insurance office. He shared so much of his life with so many people. He was a wonderful Christian example. He will be missed.

Heston was a wonderful counselor, friend and boss to me. He and Ruth introduced me to Lee Gentry in 1992. Lee and I have been married 18 years. We will miss Heston. I pray that God will bless you all.

An icon in service to our Heavenly Father; I remember Heston as a kind and joyful spirit who loved this life and his family and his service which I remember as sacrificial. I know my dad, O.J. Russell , and he, along with many others are enjoying a sweet reunion!

Heston was one of my best sources of stories of my Dad -- Malden Schackmann who died in 1961 before I turned 2. He and Ruth were good friends of my folks and remained good friends of our family over the years. I remember fondly Heston's strong hands, warm smile, kind words, and the baby roses on his lapel. Travel well.

We are just learning of Heston's passing and want
you to know that we send our heartfelt sympathies to Ruth and your family. What a wonderful man we met when he and Ruth moved to their new home across from us. We had many a good
visit before we moved. His loss will be hard for so many but what a wonderful life he had.
The heavens will have a wonderful addition.

I first met Heston in 1959 and served with him in various capacities through the years. He was always a stalwart servant, as well as leader in the Body of Christ. He was an encouragement to me and countless others.

One of the wonderful adults who is a happy part of my childhood memories.

My dad, Virgil Lewis, greatly respected Heston as a Christian mentor and as a friend. As the years passed, I also grew to love and respect Heston and Ruth. We wish we could keep wonderful examples like him with us forever, but God is ready to give him rest and respite from the trials of earth. If we all are molded by the influences in our lives, the best parts of the man I am today were significantly shaped by my time knowing Heston.

My sympathy to your family in this loss. I had thought of you many times and wondered who of the family was left. We are cousins (a couple of times removed). My mother, Bobbie Graham, passed away on Dec. 26th, so we are losing our "elders" together. God bless you. Kathy (Graham) Crumrine, Ellensburg, WA.
