Ram Pal, 99 of Modesto, CA passed away peacefully at his home on January 2, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on November 23, 1918 in Tonga, Fiji Islands and resided in Koronavia, Fiji Islands. He migrated to the United States In 1976 and lived in Modesto.
Ram Pal was married to Dhurpati Pal, together they had 12 children, 8 daughters and 4 sons. Also, he was blessed with 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. As well as 3 daughters-in-law and 8 sons-in-law, and a number of extended family.
Mr. Pal retired at the age of 75, from Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, CA. He enjoyed golfing and gardening and having his grandchildren around him. He was one of the founding members of the Ram Naam Mandir in Modesto.
Mr. Pal is survived by his 3 sons, Kanti Kumar (Mohini Kumar), Sunil Kumar (Aneeta Kumar), and Munil Kumar (Renuka Kumar), and 8 daughters, Saroj Lal(late Hira Lal), Kiran Lal (Nand Lal), Sashi Prasad (late Shiu Prasad), Rita Narayan (late Hardip Narayan), Chandra Ram (Moti Ram), Chanchala Charan (Shiu Charan), Pramila Mishra (Suruj Mishra), and Shalila Pal.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dhurpati Pal, 59, his son Anil Kumar, 18 months old, and his granddaughter Sharon Ram, 36.
Funeral will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home. Viewing from 4-8pm on Tuesday, Jan 9 Funeral service and cremation on Wednesday, Jan 10 from 10am-2pm
