Not sure what to say?

I served under Gen Philips while at Fort Campbell and in Viet Nam. He commanded with a stern hand, but was fair to all. He loved his men. loved his job. He loved his Battalion.
He worked and played hard. A perfect combination for a Airborne Ranger. He served his country well, and deserves to be remembered for it He will be missed by all who served with him

JANICE, I am so saddened at the sudden news of Ran's passing. As a Brother Rat ['54] at VMI, both in Medicine, both in Army, and both extremely happy at being in the service of our patients and our country, we always had a wonderful sense of comrade when together.

My heart goes out to you, your family, and to all of our'54 Brother Rats over your and our loss. My warmest regards.

Paul R. Meyer, Jr. MD,MBA, VMI '54, Emeritus Professor, Orthopaedic Surgery, Northwestern University.

Sorry to hear of your loss. He was well
thought of and had a outstanding life.

Memories of Ran arriving each morning at Neville's front entrance, driven by Jewel in a woody wagon ...all the way from Sterlington are precious indeed. Loved then and now!

Godspeed on your immortal journey!
