Funeral services for Elder Raybon B. Lord, 86, of Sycamore, will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. in Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Pulaski County, he was son of the late Elder J.B. "Ben" and Clara Knighton Lord. He was widower to his first wife, Jean Barlow Lord, and was a graduate of Dudley High School. He had lived in Sycamore since 1965 and was a farmer and an Elder of the Primitive Baptist faith for over 65 years, serving several churches in the south Georgia area. Survivors are: wife, Virginia D. Lord of Sycamore; children, Dennis (Lynne) Lord of Cochran, Jim Lord of Dublin, Paul (Sharon) Lord of Rochelle, Robert (Dona) Lord of Fitzgerald, Miriam B. Smith of Ashburn, Leanna (Jason) Baker of Watkinsville, Benjamin (Martha) Bryant of Savannah and sister, Jackie L. Hilton of Dudley; and 17 grandchildren. The family will meet friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 5-8. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Providence Primitive Baptist Church c/o Bob Lord, 155 Brahman Rd., Fitzgerald, Ga. 31750 or Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church c/o William J. Greene, 1912 Sheppard Dr., Cordele, Ga. 31015. Fisher Funeral Home of Cochran has charge of arrangements.

We are so grateful to our God for putting Bro. Raybon in our life's path. He was a wonderful Brother in Christ and a faithful servant to God. He will be missed by many Brothers and Sisters In Christ across the United States.

Fond memories remain of the times we have spent in Brother Raybon's home and the times he spent in ours. Precious memories of the many times we have worshipped together in God's House in many places. Our love to the family.

We loved and respected Bro. Raybon very much. He was a blessing to God's people for all these years. We pray God will continue to bless Sis. Ginger and all the family.
