It would be impossible for me to put in to words the positive impact that Mr. Epps had on my life. Reflecting on it, it's really quite remarkable how his insistence on taking a case for a friend of mine and me would change the course of both of our lives for the better. Remembering back to his opening and closing statements will forever bring me chills, as it was the first time after a protracted public dispute that I felt like somebody was on my side. Ray was able to do that because he had...

When we were all in high school, Mr. Epps would come home and it didn't matter if there were 15 of us there, or 4 of us, he never batted an eye. Just said hi to each of us and went on to do whatever it was he had to do. We were always welcome in his home! I offer my condolences to Dot, Ray's extended family, Jim & Mickey, Gaye and Harvey -- and to the...

Ray was one the great guys that I had the privilege to know as a fellow lawyer and more importantly as a friend. When we would see each other he would always call me "Aggie". We would talk about A&M, family and the law. I knew when Ray said it, it was as good as gold because he lived by his statement "my word is my bond".
Ray zealously represented his clients, but he treated me and others with respect and professionalism. I knew Ray for over 40 years having met him when I started...
