Ray understood musicians and their temperaments. He was there with a smile for all, though. Here you see him horsing around in Germany and then off to East Berlin. This was the largest venue in the country. The officer here didn't know that this keyboard player could defend himself very well. My favorite pic of Ray is the last... handsome fellow, wouldn't you say ?

Ray was especially remembered by the musicians who worked the Toledo, Ohio, early music scene. Those of us who played in Johnny and the Hurricanes, have him to thank for filling the very important keyboard section of the famous American band. His contribution was well covered in pictures seen here at the former Johnny and the Hurricanes blogsite. https://imoneofthe3002020.wordpress.com/
