I have been just sitting here pondering about you today and And remembering when I was in North Carolina getting to talk to you and I never realize that wouldve been the last time I ever talk to you I miss you uncle Dick until we meet again

Heard from Dick every day with his email quote or saying. Have know him since the very early 1960s. Hearing of his passing has me deeply shocked. My condolences to his sister & family. I still have pictures of his Arizona house. Have to wonder what happened.

Dick and I worked for the same company--Vialog/Genesys. I miss his daily e-mails, I'm glad that Buddy is being well cared for, but more than anything I miss Dick's sense of humor. My condolences to his family.

Dick was a virtual (online) friend that I did have the pleasure of meeting face-to-face a couple of times. We shared a love of music and many dog stories, and I am glad to hear that Buddy has family to care for him now. I will miss Dick's humor most of all. Rest in peace, friend.

Dick was a good, long distance friend. We were both Kidney Cancer survivors. I mourn his loss. May the good memories help his family through their grief. I am glad to know that someone is taking Buddy; he was so special in Dick's life these last years.

Even though I never met Dick in person - we were members of a (now antique) listserv discussion group - he always impressed me as a level headed man with a big heart - and his loyal companion Buddy had a firm place in that heart. I hope Buddy is well cared for and finds someone who loves him as much as Dick did.

I only knew Dick online, but he was a wonderful correspondent and raconteur, and I appreciated his many funny and on-point political comments. I will miss him every day, and pray that Buddy finds a home with someone who loves him as much as Dick did.

To Dick's family and friends: Our thoughts are with you in remembering Dick and his many positive qualities. Memories of him will live on for a long time.

Dick, I will miss you. I hope that Buddy, your faithful canine companion, can overcome his grief, and that your family will find comfort in knowing that you are with your Creator and are at Peace. I will look for your "shining star" in the sky every night. Until we meet again.

Dick and Buddy are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have lost a dear friend. I miss your daily quotes and political humor. But here is one for you Dick: I am sure you realized your mistake after you moved and found the Arkansas Republican on your door step every morning. I had nothing to do with it.
I am sure it was an Administration error!!

My heart goes out to Buddy and those nearest Dick. Dick gave me plenty of laughs over the past almost decade, and he also provided very helpful advice (on elections, medical concerns, and friendships).

We were sorry to learn of Dick's death. We worked with him providing election services with the Fairfax County Office of Elections. He worked hard and faithfully for as long as he was able, and he provided us with many great and humorous emails during and after his employment here. We are happy that he was able to be with family at the end of his life.

I am so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I worked with him at the Fairfax County Elections Office for many years. He was a wonderful election officer and Rover. I counted him as a friend and will miss him.

We already miss you and Buddy from the move (but we still got your emails) now we'll miss you even more. God Bless.

I knew Dick from back in the 80's when he and I were members of an early local computerized social networking system here in the Washington DC area. In recent years we used to exchange e-mail messages and jokes, and we stayed in touch that way after he moved to Arizona.

I know he was so happy to have finally achieved his long-time dream of moving into a nice little home with his dog Buddy, and that he was looking forward to enjoying a long, comfortable, and warm retirement there.

Dick was a great guy with a sharp mind and fun sense of humor who will be sorely missed by the many friends he leaves behind.

Deepest condolences to Dick's family from his friend Cavan Candito in Laguna Beach, California. He was a calm and steady man, full of wry humor, and I will miss him greatly. May he rest in God's peace and love.
