Dick was truly my mentor while at Brooks Institute in 1980/81. I'm now near 70, retired from my New York City studio, and still think of him often. I was his teaching assistant for some time in 1980/81, and recall one day he came to me, and in his best stern voice said, "Zimmerman, you're shooting my daughter's wedding!" I was friends with Dick and his family for 40 plus years. I was his teaching assistant at Brooks and had visited him and Helen in Santa Barbara many times since my graduation in 1982.
