Richard Melvin Boyd Jr  3/17/1968 – 6/12/2020

Friday, June 12, 2020 was a beautiful, sunny and warm North Carolina day. Richard Boyd, 52 had two things on his mind that day, his passion for hiking and his love Tamera M. Sanders. He kissed her goodbye and told her that he loved her and...

Not sure what to say?

I came across this obituary from an unrelated search. I immediately noticed Richard was born on the same day as me . . . St Patrick’s Day in 1968. . . and his love of basketball. He sounds like a really great guy, even for a Heels fan My sincere condolences to his family and friends, what a tremendous loss. I love the “in lieu” request & I will gladly take a hike in your honor, Richard. . . maybe a hoist a in your honor too

I miss you so much Rich! Happy Birthday! ❤

Hello,

I know this is a belated message, but I just found out today about Richard's passing. I am an old lady who shopped at Lowe's, and he was my favorite employee. I always had a brief chat with him over the many years we knew each other in that frame of reference. We talked about his love at the beach, and his great "bargains" he found in rentals. We talked about his hikes in the mountains, too. He always mentioned his partner with great affection, but he often talked...

Our hearts are broken for all of you. He was one of the kindest guys John and I ever knew in college. What a loss to everyone that knew him.

Sleep with the angels,my friend.

Our deepest sympathies. What an incredible man! We would be honored to join the 2021 celebration of Richard's life.
Warm hugs to Tamera and all the rest of Richard's family.

I had the opportunity to meet Richard once in the parking lot of a Lowes Foods with a friend. He was so polite to me even though that was the first time meeting I met him. Even though I did not know him very well, Richards good friend talked to me about him a lot, all the memories they shared, and the good times they had together. Rest In Peace.

I never met you, but I know how much you lived my friend Tamera. May you Rest In Peace
