I was quiet and shy in highschool but richard was someone who always made me feel comfortable and silly like he was a brother or relative just joking around in class with me. His confidence and wit came natural and he never had to try hard to please anyone. I was excited when i saw him working at vons my first day back in 2010 because he was my group buddy in mrs. Roberts english class. We always joked around and laughed at the starbucks counter because management would have me do silly things like sample and try to sell cookies and what not. He was a genuine friend and will be missed.

I have fond memories of Richie when the kids were growing up and our backyards were next to each other ... he and Andrew played a lot of backyard baseball and sometimes the kids would hop the fence and play in each other's backyards. He was outgoing,, a good conversationslist, and had a big smile. Several years after we moved away I saw him at the Liberty Station Starbucks where he worked and we had a warm conversation.
Very sorry to hear of his passing. Thoughts and prayers to your family

I remember Richard from Dana Middle School. I am an aide at Dana. Richard was smart and quirky. I enjoyed our conversations. May he rest in peace. I'm so sorry for your loss.
