Not sure what to say?

To the family of Coach Fort, I wish to extend my sincere condolences over his passing.

I've known Coach Fort for sixty years; ever since I attended Kirk Junior High and Shaw High School. Indeed, as a student athlete, I always admired his talents as both a teacher and coach.

Coach Dick Fort will be remembered for a life well lived.

Blessings,

Michael Montgomery
Shaw High School: Class of 1966

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Thank you for being there when we needed you the most. You had a great impact on your students. RIP

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of coach Fort. I was on his first three basketball teams at Gilmour Academy and also had him in class. I will always remember his patience, kindness, and most of all his sense of humor.
Rest in peace coach.

Uncle Dick Fort - The kindest man I've ever met. I know you cared about me and each of my family members. I felt your love deeply and will always be grateful for it. I am so sad you are gone from our lives because your light brightened the day of everyone you met and we will miss it. I am positive the Lord has welcomed you home and heaven is a better place because you are there now. Prayers of strength and love to Aunt Nancy and Cousins Kathleen, Susan, and Stephen and your loving...

It was a pleasure to have known Dick who volunteered with me at the Discovery Shop. Always a great conversation, a lot of fun and one of the best people to argue with I have ever known. RIP, Dick.

To the Fort Family,

I knew Mr. Fort and his wife, Nancy, as a tennis player at Purvis Park in University Heights and as a member of Gesu Parish. He was a kind, genuine, upstanding individual--and quite an accomplished tennis player. I was lucky to know him.

My deepest sympathies to the Fort family.

My basketball coach at East Cleveland Shaw from
1969 to 1971
A fond memory of Coach Fort, walking thru Shaw High cafeteria eating pretzel's around lunch time and just checking things out on game day.
We won lots and lots of basketball games.
Thanks Coach

My deepest condolences to the Fort family. I was privileged to be his student at Kirk and Shaw. He was a wonderful educator who had the unique ability to make learning history and social studies fun. I hope he knew how much we all loved and respected him. His impact on so many exists to this very day. Rest In the loving arms of God, Mr. Fort. You ran an awesome race.
