Richard T. Ouellette, 78, of Grand Marais, Minn., as well as Las Vegas, Nev. Our beloved Husband, Father and Grandpa passed away on March 18, 2008 in Lakeville, Minn. Richard was born Aug. 23, 1929 in Providence, Rhode Island to parents Thomas and Ida (Saucier) Ouellette. He served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. Richard graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1960. He continued graduate studies during his 25 years of teaching at Cook County High School in Grand Marais. He also served for many years as a U.S. Customs Immigration Inspector in Grand Marais and at the Canadian border. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Lion's Club. He was an avid Twins and Vikings fan. He is survived by wife, Carol Aakhus-Ouellette; children, Michelle (Brian) Bartz of Lakeville, Minn., and Cmdr. Richard Jr. (Holly) Ouellette of Manassas, Va.; grandchildren, Michael and Melissa Bartz; Reid, Avery and Chloe Ouellette; sister, Yvonne Rankl of N. Providence, RI and many other loving family and friends. VISITATION:5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in the White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 26, 2008, 11 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church, 20165 Heath Ave., Lakeville, Minn., with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
