Not sure what to say?

It was with sadness that I read that Dick has passed away. Dick had a major influence on my career in psychology, and as a graduate student worked close with him on a number of projects. Dick was one of my primary mentors as well as a wonderful human being. My condolences to Pat and his children. With many fond memories Dick.

Bill Reynolds, McKinleyville, California

Sorry to hear about Dick's passing. He was one of my all time favorite professors. I loved his classes.

Dick was one of my dissertation advisors - a mentor, an amazingly sharp teacher with a wonderful sense of humor. He was kind, supportive, and demanding and made all of his students better researchers.

Dick also introduced me to the joys of single A baseball through Emerald games.

He was the kind of graduate advisor that all students should be fortunate enough to have.

May ALMIGHTY GOD who binds up the broken-hearted" and "comfort all who mourn " sustain the family during this challenging time (Isaiah 61:1,2)

Dr. Rankin was a powerful, positive influence on my life and psychology career. I had the honor of being his teaching assistant during the final three years my graduate training. I will miss his keen wit, sharp intellect and his kindness. A truly wonderful man.

Blessings to you and Dick.
