Owens and Brumley Funeral Home - Wichita Falls Obituary

Richard “Joshua” Stovall, born to Richard Stovall and Sandra Smith on April 29, 1983, in Lawton, Oklahoma went to be with his heavenly Father on March 30, 2020.

Viewing (in small groups) will be held on April 2nd, 2020 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls from 12:00-5:00 pm.  Private Graveside services will be at Highland cemetery, Iowa Park, Texas.

Josh touched the lives of many people before and after his accident. He graduated as a HVAC Technician from Hot Springs National Park College in 2005. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He spent his time nurturing nature and his three beautiful children while working for the city of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was a loyal friend and confidant to all who were blessed to have him in their lives. He was strong and kind, slow to anger and quick to laugh. He was ours and we are forever his.

Josh is survived by his parents, Richard Stovall (Charlotte) and Sandra Smith (Tom); his three children, Shane, Rhonie and Silas Stovall; 4 sisters, Kim Stovall, Misty Stovall-Hill, Leigh-Ann Stovall and Stephanie Stovall; stepsister, Kristen Smith; and two stepbrothers, Ben and Hal; 12 nephews and 10 nieces, Ryan, Zach, Hannah, Rainey, Alivia, Lane, Leo, Darren, Emily, Dakota, Caidon, Shawnee, Cheyanne, Riley, Madison, Dylan, Miley, Destini, Taylor, Caleb, Danielle and Liam. Joshua is also being missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including the wonderful staff at Baptist Health in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Duel and Pauline Flowers and John and Juanita Stovall; and his brother, Shane Stovall, all of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Josh was one of my first friends I ever made when I moved to Hot Springs Ar. and we were connected by the mind and soul from the get go! He was my friend but more so like a brother to me.
We shared good times and bad together and always came through the worst of weather
Never to doubt the connection we shared
and how much about eachother we cared!
I'm proud to have had the privilege of Josh being in my life! Run free Josh for you are released back into the wild to...

Our family is so thankful for the love, support & condolences. Joshua is so loved. We miss him more than words can say. One of the absolute best brother/Daddy/uncle, ever.

My prayers are with his family at this time of grief. Josh can now rest in the arms of Jesus, please take comfort in this and know he is now healed

I worked with Josh AKA Stovy, here at the City Of Hot Springs. He would always make work fun even when it wasn't and always talked about his kids and taking them camping. He was a great dad and loved his family so much. He will always be a great representation for the City of Hot Springs! I'm honored and blessed to have called him a friend. Rest easy my friend.

Josh, you will be missed dearly. My condolences to your family. Shemeka Randle, BHECH Respiratory

Sending many hugs and prayers for all of you. Josh Holds a special place in all of our hearts at BHECH. - His Baptist Health Extended Care Family
