Not sure what to say?

We received your sad information with great sorrow. The news came unfortunately, not quite unexpected, regarding the frail health and old age of Dick. Nevertheless, it is hard to grasp that Dick is not with us anymore. I personally mourn my former mentor in science. In him we lost one of the last representatives of the great period of biochemical research when the function of the mitochondrial respiratory chain and energy production was elucidated.

Dick lived his justice and peace convictions in an inspiring way...Jane too! Thank you!

Dick was my friend. I appreciated his keen eye for wrongdoing and ignorance. But I also appreciated, albeit sometimes with a scratch of the head, his choice of an immediate actions.

Dick von Korff was truly a man with the courage of his convictions. Every meeting with him was inspiring. He was the best.

Dick was an inspiration .. Politically, aging with grace and enthusiasm. The "sailing club " was a fun side of Dick's love of nature. Rosemary and David Comtois

Dick had a sparkling mind that dwelt on all science and its great questions. He lived his Unitarian Universalist beliefs completely. All politics interested him and he called out many bad actions and actors in that arena. He loved the world and us. I am so sad to lose him. He will always be with me in spirit.

Dick was our valued friend and good neighbor at the Village On The Cannon in Northfield, Mn. We appreciated Dick's keen interest in academic and scientific areas as well as his being an enthusiastic part of the VOC community. We shall miss Dick very much. A bright, vibrant, and determined force for peace and justice has left us.

We were so fortunate to have known Dick! He was an amazing man, full of energy and enthusiasm for life. He was an important member of The Kenwood Retirement Community and we will never forget his smile.
