I served as a Junior Officer SWO under then Capt Wilson on the USS Camden. It was my 1st tour. Fond memories of my time on board. Remember coming back from WastPac deployment and loading Capt Wilson's brand new 280Z onto the ship in Guam..back in the day! A great man! LCDR David Deen, USN Retired

I served under then Captain Wilson onboard USS Camden. He was by far the finest Commanding Officer I had the honor to serve under. I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the Wilson family.

I served under Adm Wilson as Executive Agent for NSCO (Reserve component) to CINCPACFLT, Hawaii. Adm Wilson was the consummate officer and gentleman.

Cdr Wilson was my co when I was the maintenance Master Chief of VF154 He was one of the finest officers I ever served under

We are so sorry to hear of Richard's passing in the Wings of Gold magazine we received today, Betty Rae. We remember you both fondly from our Midway days.
