Not sure what to say?

Fr. Dick Wirth was a wonderful priest and one of the greatest one on one counselors I ever met. He was quiet and caring and enjoyed his family, fishing, golf (he was better at fishing with his brother Jack than at golf)and his pipe while at being our pastor at Annunciation in Minneapolis. His love of Jesus Christ was so evident in his life-what an example. Thanks for your kindness and love Fr. Dick. God bless you and your family.

We are going to miss seeing you every January here in Ft. Myers Beach each year. We had a few places lined up where we could go out to eat this coming year. We appreciate your sharing of your enthusiam of life with us and all our friends here and where ever you went. We mailed a 27 minute video to the church today and hope it makes it by noon tomorrow, the 20th--it shows a lot of activities of you over the past 15 years. We know that now you are free from pain as you,so well kept to...

Dick, how many wonderful times we spent, laughing and hoisting a few. Thankyou for your friendship, which will always be special in our lives. We helped lead many church groups with you and will never forget your guidance and help and love. God Bless and May you forever rest in the peace of Christ.

Fr. Dick was my priest at St. Thomas in St. Paul. He was very special to me because he was always there. When I first started serving as an alter girl he made me feel comfortable by saying it will be alright. He even came to my graduation party this summer. I am going to miss him but now i have another angel to watch over me. Rest in Peace Fr. Dick.

I will always remember Fr. Dick
for his love in vocation work. I am grateful for his vocation to the priesthood. May he rest in peace!

Father Wirth was well loved throughout the archdiocese but most especially in Waverly, Minnesota, my home town. He was pastor there during the 1970s and ushered in Vatican II most painlessly and intelligently.
