Not sure what to say?

My husband and I were just quoting a Rickism from my days employed at Progressive in 1989 and decided to google Rick. Was shocked to see his passing. Reading his guest book it brought back many smiles, tears and great memories of Rick and PB and Aveda. He truly Impacted our lives and the world has lost a wonderful person. Rest In Peace, Pam & Mark Shea St. Louis MIssouri

I am so saddened to hear this news...I agree with all my Progressive buddies that spoke before me, he was truly inspirational and just plain fun to work with and be around. It was a privilege to be a part of his mission to make a difference in the salon world and beyond. His training has helped me in our own family business every day. I'm sure my Progressive friends remember the "Coffee Stains" analogy...Rick will be missed so much by all of who were blessed to be a part of his life, present...

Kudos to the author of the obituary- it captured Rick to a T and then some. Sending my love to the family and friends of Ricky G. He was a BIG part of my life for almost 30 years and the world is a little less special without him here. His accomplishments were legendary and his friendship was priceless.

In the 70's, 3 kids traveling around Europe together for a while, Rick, Dave Illions and I had our own agenda, and traveled our own ways. We lost contact until the 90's when, being in the Beauty Biz, I kept seeing the name Rick Goldberg. Calling his office in Mn, I left a msg with his secretary, if this is the same Rick Goldberg that traveled in Europe.....I got a call back "Gail, what the ----. I joined he and his DSC's for a dinner at the next BBSI and we kept in contact over the years. I...

I heard the sad news today about the passing of Rick, in the most appropriate setting of a beauty salon. Reconnecting with an old PB friend who I hadn't seen in years. There are no coincidences. I worked for Rick/PB many years ago. I will forever remember what he taught about providing good customer service. He was one of a kind. With deepest sympathy.

My thoughts are with you all.
He will be missed.
Hugs to you all.

Was everything they say he was and forever a gentle and kind soul

Lois, Patti and Rick's sons, My heart aches for you. Some of the most fun days of my life were babysitting Ricky and Patti when you lived on Hillcrest. Ricky was unrelenting on Patti and never wanted to go to bed when Lois and Bud wanted him to because he had so much more mischief to get into! Auntie Tillie was crazy for her grandkids and Ricky used to tease her and she loved it. Thinking of you with so much love. Betsy and the Siegel Family
