Paul, Marc, Laura & Dan:
My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother.
Rita was a wonderful friend of our family. She will be greatly missed.
I will keep her and your family always in my prayers.
Requiem aeternam dona ei, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei. Requiescat in pace. Amen.
Anima eius et animae omnium fidelium defunctorum, per misericordiam Dei requiescant in pace. Amen.

As a former Halka dancer I will always remember Miss Rita as the driving force behind our practices, costumes, and performances. Through her commitment to Polish dance she created a wonderful and memorable experience for so many people over the years. She had an amazing ability to remember all her students, even decades after they left the dance group. I last ran into her five years ago at Our Lady Queen of Heaven and she made sure to send me home with a copy of the latest dance recital...

Just a month ago we were all together at Leonard's 70th birthday party eating, laughing and talking. Rita was one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave. I'm grateful that our last memories of her are happy ones.

Dear Laura and family,

Amidst your present sadness at the passing of your Mom, be consoled
at the thought of her great legacy. From the years that I knew her at
Queen of Heaven (mid-1970's-90's), she was an awesome person...
caring parent, faithful choir member, outstanding Q-H parishioner
in many categories, and proud of her Polish heritage being such an
outstanding PRCU activist. I looked forward to just seeing you and her
at the Hamtramck Labor...

Mrs. Rita was HALKA dancers adopted grandmother. From when my parents started me at 2 years old to when I graduated at 17, Mrs. Rita was always watching over my development not just as a folk dancer but as a young man. Every Saturday in Detroit she ensured our practices went smoothly, and every year at our recital she rushed to make last-minute fixes to costumes before we went on stage. Mrs. Rita was always incredibly proud handing out awards to her kids at the recitals.

Ms. Rita was a great friend and neighbor of the Williams Family for 30 years. We will certainly miss her smile and sweet demeanor. On behalf of the Williams Family, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to the Family. Ms. Rita was truly a great woman.

I never actually met Mrs. Cerankowski but talked to her a few times on the phone, she seemed like a very sweet, intelligent, woman who reminded me of my mother. I know that now she must have peace and is no longer in any kind of pain and is reunited with those she lost before her. May her family find comfort and peace within God as he watches over them at this time, holding them within his arms.

Paul, Marc, Laura and family
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. She was such a nice women and a great friend to our family. I fondly remember her visits, the flower shop and Saturday morning dance classes at the gym. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Laura - my heart goes out to you & your entire family. Your mom will be missed by all who knew her and/or came in contact with her - especially her energy, smile & positive attitude ... seemed like she was always ready to break into a polka! From all my years at Q of H & with Halka - and then seeing your mom at Opole recitals years later (for my niece & nephews) - it was like no time had passed at all. Your kids have been greatly blessed by having such a great Babcia...
