Rita Marie Diehl

It has been such a blessing to come back to all of my grandparents' obituaries to see the comments that you all have left and know that they are dearly missed. They left a mark on so many people and I miss her deeply.

She had an amazing, full, adventurous life, surrounded by devotion and love. Her family remain as monuments to her and everlasting memories. RIP ♥

Dr. Diehl was my organic chemistry professor when I attended St Bonaventure University in the mid 80”s. Later, I would often see both him and Rita when I would swim laps at the YMCA in Olean. There was no mistaking their love for each other by the way they interacted. I remember one day Gus was in the pool waiting for Rita to come out of the locker room to join him. He said something to the effect that he was waiting for, “ The Great White One” to appear. He was referencing her white...

We shared the 'joy's of bringing up very "busy" families. She was also a golfing buddy. So sad to hear she is gone. Prayers to the family. Larry and Carol Nenno
