Bob was a kind and joyful man. I worked with him at BPA and admired his ways of navigating policy and his positive approach to staff. Condolences to his family.

I remember in 1996 when "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America" came to the Lloyd Cinema. On the day of release Bob was one of 5 of us that flat out walked out of BPA work without signing a leave slip to watch the 11:00 am first showing.
Butthead: Hey Beavis, what do you remember about that Austin guy? Beavis: hehe hehe I don't know Butthead but he sure had a nose for progress hehe hehe
Good memories. Thanks Bob

I am a cousin of Bobs from Pennsylvania. I havent seen him in many years. I was sad when I heard of his recent death, but I do have fond memories of him growing up. He was always so kind and easy going. I enjoyed reading the beautiful comments from his friends.

So sorry to hear this news. What a beautiful tribute with all the notes from friends - I wish I knew Bobby and his family better. I do not have any stories with Bobby however I visited his mother (Aunt Mary) at the hospital in my wedding dress since she was unable to make the ceremony or reception. Prayers to all. Love from Delaware.... Jean Sowa

I am so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He was one of the kindest people I knew, with a fun sense of humor! I worked with him at Dworshak National Fish Hatchery in the 80s. Carla and Bob were wonderful people and I was glad to call them my friends.

Worked with Bob for many years at BPA. Always loved to work on a project with him, as he usually provided the "positive, move forward, be inclusive, focus on how we can make the future better" tone to our work. I loved having conversations with him, some of you may know that he needed to say 50,000 things to you to get his thoughts expressed, I really miss that in our new stay-at-home- world. We shared a motto "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil and when he left BPA he gave me a...

My sympathy goes out to Bob's family. I worked with Bob in the early '90s in BPAs Fish and Wildlife program and he has always kept a positive, hard working attitude with passion for his biology work.
