Honaker Funeral Home, Inc. - Slidell Obituary

robert ‘bob’ lee bolian,sr., age 83, of Slidell, LA, passed peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, November 29, 2018.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Linda Pravata Bolian and the father of Kimberly Landry (David), Gwendolyn Ouellette (Bruce), and the late Robert Bolian, Jr.  He was the son of the late Victor and Josephine Ray Bolian and the brother of Victor Bolian, Jr., Beverly Ricks, and the late Elise Pennington and Betty Thonn.  He is survived by four grandchildren, Jordan Landry, Lindsey Wiggins, Andrew Landry, and Courtney Wiggins who brought him much pride and joy.  He was a native of Slidell, LA and was a retired plant accountant for Deluxe Check Printers.  Bob had a passion for music from Grammar School to the present.  He was trained in the saxophone but later taught himself piano by ear.  He also spent his life devoted to music and was a member of the local band Day By Day for 30 years with his brother Vic.  Everyone who knew Bob knew that his family was his priority and he had a special bond with his grandchildren.  We will all miss his piano playing, singing, and his never-ending hugs and kisses.  Linda will especially miss playing canasta with him, listening to their favorite music, doing yard work together, watching football (the Manning family were his favorites), and the morning and night “I Love You’s”, which were the last words from his lips to her.  The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Slidell Memorial Hospital and Passages Hospice for their care.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Services at ST. MARGARET MARY CHURCH, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 12:00 P.M.  Visitation Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until service time.

Interment will be private.

Donations to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, preferred, in lieu of flowers.
