Not sure what to say?

My heart goes out to all of Bob's family. I was so fortunate in my life to have such a positive, gentle and wonderful educator as Bob. We kept up on life through the years and that I am also grateful. Environmental engineering was a definite passion for Bob imparted to many of us students. Wonderful laugh, beaming smile and genuine good heart and soul - he will be missed very much.

Our sincere sympathy to Dr. Carnahan's family. My husband and I met in one of Dr. Carnahan's classes in the winter of 1987 (Water Quality II) . We did not even know he was Catholic! This December, we will have been married 30 years. We have enjoyed successful environmental engineering careers, due in part to his influence in our education. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace.

I want to express my sincere condolences to the Carnahan family on the loss of Dr. Carnahan. He was one of my engineering major professors and mentors at USF for a number of years. He was very intelligent, patient, kind and exacting, and the incredible knowledge he instilled anchored a wonderful engineering future for all his students. He will be greatly missed.

Dr. Carnahan was my college professor and helped launch my career in the field of Environmental Engineering. I am grateful to him for his kind help and intellect as it effected my life, my family's and career. May his life be a blessing to us all, and his family be comforted in knowing that he helped so many students at USF and our nation.

Our sincere condolences to family and friends of our Alumnus

My thoughts and prayers are with Bob's family at this difficult time. Bob and I were High School classmates and I believe the last time I saw and visited with him was at the 50th reunion of our Manatee County High School class of 1954. Bob was a very kind and gentle man with great intellect and generosity for others. I know that he will be greatly missed by all.

Our sympathies go to Gerry and the Carnahan family on the passing of Bob. He was a valued USF professor and friend and will be greatly missed.

To the Carnahan Family,
Please accept my Sympathy, and May God's Peace surround each of you with the passing of your husband, father, grandfather.
Sean, please give your Mother a hug from me
And a hug coming your way too.
Sincerely
Roz Covine

Dr. Carnahan was a fellow veteran, a trusted mentor, and a cherished friend. He was and will remain one of the finest men I've ever known. May God hold him in His arms forever.
