Not sure what to say?

It was with great sadness that we recently learned of Bob's death. For many years we had exchanged Christmas cards and letters, but in January our 2015 card and letter was returned to us with the...

He was a charished friend to the Howland family. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sad that my dear friend has passed away. He was such a wonderful guy. Every year we exchanged Birthday cards and Christmas cards. I loved his wonderful laugh. We were planning on having lunch at Pi's, but we never managed that. He enjoyed life to the fullest. I will miss him.

Bob was one of a kind.. I enjoyed knowing him, playing Trivial Pursuit once a week during lunch, having great discussions with him, etc. After his retirement, we kept in touch via short notes now and then. I will miss him.

Bob was a great friend. I remember all the enjoyable team trivia games we played over lunch in the 1776 Building. He will be missed.

Bob was a wonderful guy, full of energy, inquisitive, outgoing, and very intelligent. He would strike up a conversation with any stranger he came across. He was so vibrant for his age and never seemed to slow down. He lived life to the fullest.
