Not sure what to say?

My connection to the Hutch and to Dr. Day was that I was part of the first fundraising team. I was hired as the Director of Planned Giving in 1985.

Dr. Day was very generous with his time in meeting with donors who came to the Hutch for tours at First Hill and later at SELU. He would meet and thank the donors, sometimes joining us for lunch or for a bowl of soup.

My time at the Hutch was stimulating, challenging and interesting, thanks in part to Dr. Day.

Bob and I 1st came in contact when he was an investor in a fishing boat in the 70,s. The vessel Southern Belle. My brother John and I treasured our long stays at the old wharf resteraunt. Curled up in a both. Planning g and scheming. Future boat projects. Bob and I in later years alway meet up at Chandlers chowder house . We talked of science. Politics, fishing, his family ,he was so very proud When it was time to say good bye I left him knowing, feeling special Like many his interest ...

Will miss you always an forever.

Bob Day was one of the great and loyal men I've had the pleasure of knowing. A truly wonderful person!
