Not sure what to say?

My dad introduced me to Bob at a reunion in Arlington, Va. In 1994 for the RP Leary sailors. My dad Roy served with Bob and spoke affectionately of him. Thank you Bob for serving and watching out for my dad when you were young. Jim Freeman Lovettsville, Va.

I worked with Bob at Keystone for more wonderful years than I can remember. He was a fine and cheerful shipmate. Although I moved to the west coast I treasure the memories.

To the Durand Family -We were saddened to hear the news of Bob's passing. My family & I have lots of fond memories of him. I have special childhood memories of Bob and I will miss his wonderful smiling face, sense of humor & big hugs he gave me growing up. He was a warm, kind & loving person who I loved dearly.. Bob & Pinky were my parents best friends for over 65 years! My mother introduced Bob to Pinky & always thought of him as a brother. I am sure that my parents &...

Bob was my cousin and my hero. I was 10 when WWII started. Bob went off to war at the helm of a USN destroyer. He saw a lot of action in the South Pacific. He and other young men and women by their dedication to duty allowed me to have a normal childhood, which was a lot better than what kids in Europe an Asia went through. I'll always remember him.

Bob thank you for the love and tenderness you gave to our son, Richie, whenever you saw him at St. Mary's. He will always remember you, and treasures the coins you gave him. We know you're roller skating in heaven! Mildred, our love and prayers to you. Love, Rich and Sue Hanna

Thank you for sharing warmth, smiles, and fond memories with me as a child at St. Mary's. The coins you gifted to me from your travels I keep dearly in a small cigar box with other memories that I cherish. You were truly an amazing man and will be sorely missed. Until the next time we meet.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
