We had the privilege and honor of knowing Robert for just the last few years. His stories, sense of humor and his quick wit would always make you laugh. At the drop of a hat he would call and say "lets go hear the Coupes or Speedy Parker" "I'll be there in 15 minutes, be ready". He was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge and trivia. His friendship will be truly missed. Our heartfelt condolences.

Robert was a true shipmate and friend of all of us in the Buffalo Lodge No. 1 of the International SHipMasters' Association. He was one of the founding members when we reinstated the lodge and he participated in that ceremony with many of us on January 10, 2004. Bob was a teriffic person. His honesty, warmth and always friendly demeanor are now being taken to a better place. The Great Lakes Marine Industy has lost a really good and trusted suveyor and we have all lost a friend.
