Not sure what to say?

You would be so proud of your grandson who was inducted into the Junior Beta Club. I miss you more and more each day. When I'm at work and I need advice on documentation, I miss being able to call you and go off on a tangent of random Monty Python quotes after getting the help I needed. Every day I try to do you proud with all that you have taught me both in life and professionally. I am so happy to have started working for you and traveling with you all over the country. Between us...

The Coding community has lost a great leader. I was able to meet him once for a coding education session - he made things that were hard to understand easy. His kindness and cheerfulness never ended. He will be greatly missed by many. My condolences to his family.

I was stationed with Commander Gold at the Naval Hospital in Naples, Italy. He was ALWAYS a wonderful doctor, friend and comrade. I respected him, the rank he held and his genuine kindness to everyone. My memories of him will last me all my days. I met his wife Judy back in those days too and she was his equal for all the same reasons. My condolences to his family. He was a treasure. Fair winds and following seas, Dr. Gold. I salute you! Scout Saylors, formerly HM3 Saylors in 1977.

I am sorry it took so long for me to know that a great Man, Teacher and friend has past from this life to God's Hands. I will always remember the simplicity of explanations in coding and medical conditions. He was the greatest mentor I have ever had, I will miss him a lot. To all of his family God Bless!

Bob was the QUINTESSENTIALLY perfect neighbor everybody wishes to have. My husband Michael and I lived across the street from him for over a decade, and just what a tremendous loss for our whole neighborhood, the Briers. Briers will never be quite the same. My heart hurts for us and his wonderful family, and I know he was looking down on the Memorial Service held for him this past Saturday with a his beautiful daughter Samantha spoke so lovingly of was very well done by...

What a loss, both personally and professionally, for all who knew Dr. Gold.

Wonderful to see how Dr. Gold influenced so many of our lives. What a joy to have known him and experienced his truly unique ability to communicate and relate to all of us. He will be missed.

News traveled among the medical/surgical coding communities. What a huge loss of a passionate physician who bridged communication between his colleagues, coders and clinical documentation professionals through his newsletters, his website, his presentations, and his one-on-one phone calls. After reading about him in the obituary, he was dynamic and fun; and he certainly made every day count!! Your memories brought smiles to my heart. Please hold onto those memories. My heartfelt sympathies...

RIP. You will be greatly missed. I've learned so much from you these past 14 years. Thank you so much for all that you've done. We love you!!
