Not sure what to say?

I knew Bob through Troop 99. He was the most gentlemanly man I've ever had the pleasure to meet. His interpretation of Sir Baden Powell is something I will never forget. Go in peace, Bob.

Bob's son, Dave, married my sister Bonnie. I remember @ 1980 when a group of us from the Church of the Covenant rode the 100 miles on our bikes down to Cape Henlopen for a retreat. A number of us had 10+ speed racers. Bob made it on a 3-speed bike. I also carpooled with him out to Pittsburgh for a rafting trip on the Youghiogheny River. He told me a few years back that he didn't start working out regularly until he was 60. That was encouraging to me -- there's still hope! A man of...

Over the years I have come to know many great scouters. Mr. Meader has always been a scout and role model that is the gold standard. His strong leadership, unwavering patience, and eternal guidance helped me to be a better person, to do more to make a difference in the community, and to ultimately try to follow in his footsteps. As I reflect on the short span of time in which I had the opportunity to learn from him, I take solace in knowing that there are many, many more people like myself...

Mr Meader was a man above all Men!! His Godly character shone through everything he did and said. His passion was for his God, wife, children, family and Boy Scouts and Special Olympics.

He was the Superman Hero in everything he did or attempted to do. His laughter was contagious and joyful at all times! It was the only way he knew to be. The Lord Jesus was his constant strength, guidance and Master.

My/ our life was greatly enriched because I/we had the blessing, honor and...

Bob was the epitome of Boy Scouting, he was caring, professional and dedicated. Never one to raise his voice or pre-judge a person or event but always there with a helping hand or sound wisdom.

Mr. Meader helped me achieve my goal of becoming an Eagle Scout. I was in a troubled troop, and he helped me find a good unit in the Brandywine District in 1970. He had a talent for listening and mentoring. I have never forgotten his kindness and support. He was a fine example of a professional Scouter.

His sense of humour, his gentle spirit and the fun we had at CFO.
