Reading through these wonderful messages makes me smile through my tears at thought of how Rob made so many people laugh. What a wonderful blessing for all of us who knew him and laughed with him (and sometimes at him). Rob walked me through some of my darkest days with his humor and sincere friendship. Even when he would frustrate you, you couldn't stay mad for long because his sincerity alway shone through. Thank you, Rob. You will be greatly greatly missed.

I was fortunate enough to meet Robbie at Ga Southern in the 80s and soon realized that we had mutual fiends. He was a great guy, always friendly and the kind of person who always had a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed

Paris, how fortunate to have spent days with you, Rob and your entire beautiful family on that cruise to Alaska; will always remember that drive through the California wine country with you and Rob; and what fun we had fishing with Rob last summer in Florida. Our lives have been blessed for having known your beloved man, Rob.

A 'gentle giant' with a great sense of humor and a big heart. We need more people like Rob.

Dear Ann and Nick, Heyward and I are stunned and saddened at this tragic news. What a terrible blow to you both and to his wife and little boy. Please know we are thinking of you and hoping you find comfort in all the kind things people have said about Rob. Eleanor

Getting to know Rob over the past few years, while working with him at Peachtree Center, has been such a gift. I always admired his crazy sense of humor, and his ability to make us all laugh at the drop of a hat. Rob was an amazing guy, and I'm sure going to miss him. Keeping his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
