Happy Birthday Scotty! Thinking of you today (but then again, I think of you every day!) I'm attaching a banner that our Fan Club Member Pat Taranto made for one of your birthday golf tournaments!

For me, flying was a spiritual event. I first gained my spirituality of flying by reliving the tales from your "God is my Co-Pilot," and following your career. I was so enthralled with your tales, that my dad would call you "Uncle Scotty" when he saw me reading your book (for the umpteenth time). Thanks Uncle Scotty, for your service, inspiration and even guidance.

Gen. Scott was definitely one of my boyhood heroes. Thru my teaching career, I tried to impress upon my students that true heroes don't make touchdowns or bounce a basketball. They put their lives on the line for their country, and for us. If you're looking for a role model, check THIS guy out! There might be some as good, but none better. R.I.P., Sir!
