There was no one more influential in my life/career than Dr. Wilkinson. He demonstrated every day what it was to be a great teacher--start by being a good person, follow with a love of your subject that oozes from every pore, finish with an unflagging desire to transfer that love to your students and all around you. He did this,...and more. Forty-four years teaching English at Malvern Prep, and still counting, due in large part to this great man.

Very sadly, I had been misinformed years ago that Dr. Wilkinson had passed. I was trying to reconnect with him so I could remind him how much I appreciate his influence in my life.
Dr Wilkinson was a very kind, caring, and thoughtful man, but he was also, without question, the best professor I ever had the privilege to learn from.
I am so sorry to hear of his passing - I am sure it is a loss to all who knew him. It is certainly a loss to the world.
