I always wondered if Aunt Bing ever told Uncle Bob that she ran the Impala onto the beach, on purpose no less, at Hamilton Lake, while he was out of town, and got it stuck in the sand. She walked back home, got the pick-up, brought it down to the beach and we pulled it out. It was after dark too. That meant there were two vehicles and only one licensed driver. Well guess who learned to drive a stick shift all by herself. ME! I was so nervous, and it was so hard to take off by going up a hill....

"Uncle Bob" What a HUGE Heart of GOLD he had, hidden behind that tall, seemingly gruff exterior. Always ready with a joke or two, (sometimes risque'). And man-oh-man could he play the piano and organ. Ever the great storyteller, stemming from his "millions" of miles on the road as a trucker.
