Roger Barry Pettibone

Bought Girl Scout cookies yesterday and I suddenly remembered how I always put some cookies in Joan and Roger´s freezer so they would have some when they came home from Florida. Still miss them.

Roger and Joan were two of the nicest people I´ve ever met. I really miss them.

Roger lived life to the fullest. He loved to spend his winters in North Carolina. (Smart man!). Recently he took up cooking and sometimes when I went over to his home he told me about a delicious soup recipe he found, then gave me a copy of the recipe. I am so sorry to hear this news. Roger was the Treasurer at Habitat for Humanity when I was hired in 2010. Roger was so welcoming to me from day one. Roger was always in my corner when I needed support. Roger was patient and spent a lot of time with me sharing his knowledge about the organization .
