During the many slide shows I shared with Roger, I learned the World is not as bad as the news projects. He always saw the good in people where ever he traveled.

I was just Googling for Roger last week. Sorry to find him in the Obits. We shared a mutual respect for our Gastonia dentist, Dr. D. E. McConnell, who treated children with respect worthy of human beings. In a time in North Carolina when the news is full of badly behaving dentists, it is good to remember practitioners of all stripes who are kind and competent.

A tribute to a great man, I would love to have met him. I am descended from the Saunders family and had to learn to deal with dyslexia with a child.
