Not sure what to say?

Dear Lynne and family,

Words are far from adequate in times like these, but I know that memories can serve as great comfort. I recently lost my own Dad and can relate all to well. Lynne, I met your dad over the phone when he called our dorm room from one of his many voyages. I've often mentioned him over the years with sailing friends of my own...certainly a Dad and a man to be admired. I wish you and your family the time that will heal what words cannot. Be well.

I am gutted. He made a huge impact on my life in a short time. A true gentleman with whom I had hoped to sail with again one day. They don't make them like him anymore! My thoughts and prayers are with Gaynelle and family. God bless.

I met Roger in Port Sudan, Sudan in 1983. I will never forget his kind face, outgoing personality, brilliant mind, and generous spirit. He kept in touch all these years. He made quite an impact on this world. What a full life! My best to Gaynelle, his children, and grandchildren.

Lynne, Phil and family,
May the vast amount of memories and the knowledge that your father touched so many lives during his time here, bring you comfort.

Dear Gaynelle & family, My heart is with you at this time. Roger was truly a legend; the greatest adventurer I have ever met. He was a mentor for so many of us. I'm really going to miss him. Love from Wendy

Gaynelle, Phil, and Family,
I was sorry to hear of your loss. I have enjoyed working with Roger very much on his projects over the last few years. I really enjoyed visiting with him about his travels and watching the movies of his trips that he gave to me. He will be missed by all that knew and came in contact with him.
