I spoke with my mother today and she advised me about Romeo's death and could not believe it - as Mami had just sent a card in celebration of Murphy & Edie's 60th anniversary celebration. Delores Cea sent us some great photos of Romeo and Dad goofing off in W-S. What wonderful memories. I am saddened by your loss, but honored by the memories. Dear Mamie, Joe, Ann-Marie, Sandy and Carl: You don't know how saddened I was to hear about Romeo's passing. You guys were our second family back in the days of Winston-Salem. Your house was always filled with us kids eating your great home-made Italian food. I will always remember Mamie taking care of John and I when mom was sick. The way your family just always opened your hearts and home. I still remember when I lived with you guys for over a month back in 1978. I can think of so...
