Joanne and family,

The news of Ron's passing was hard. I had just stopped by the week prior, and he seemed to be doing well at the time and seemed to be recovering well. As mentioned, Ron was a Senior Volunteer for the last 11 years at CHP Yuba-Sutter.

Last year I took Ron out for lunch in Sacramento. While we were talking, I found out he never experienced the skid pan at the CHP Academy. I took him there after lunch and took him around the skid pan, trying my best to do 360's in the patrol car. I looked over at Ron, who was in the passenger seat. He was holding onto the passenger handle with a giant grin on his face. He looked like a kid in a candy store!

Ron was a big part of our Senior Volunteer program and his passing leaves a huge void here. He was well liked by everyone here. Ella Elementary and Brittan Elementary miss his presence after school.

Joanne, you lost your best friend in life. Ron was blessed to have been your loving husband for the last 63 years. You are welcome to stop by the office anytime.

Sincerely,
Brian Danielson

My Uncle Ron was a very funny goofy and loving person. Although it had been many years since we had seen each other in person we did connect on the phone. He was proud to be a volunteer for the CHP loved to go on ride alongs, and help with the community especially. He was like I said just a funny goofy uncle who was loved and will be missed. See you on the other side Uncle Ron, love, Kristi Atkins Farley my love and prayers go out to my Dad and Mom, my Aunt Jo and my cousin Rick. Thinking of you all in this time of grief. Poem: Look to the stars that´s where you´ll find me. Look out to sea that´s where you´ll find me. Look thru the storm that´s where you´ll find me but most of all look in your heart that´s where you´ll feel me. RIP Uncle Ron. Poem by KDAF. ME
