I met Gene many years ago during hunting season. He and his family had their deer camp set up just down the road from ours. We all visited each other's camp over the years and he was always there for you if you ever needed his help. I remember last year he came up to our campsite the day I was setting up and the two of us set around the fire pit talking about old memories of previous hunting seasons.
