Unfortunately we were away from Alberta when the tragic news was received that Ron Stevens was not with us anymore. Phylis, our heart is filled with joy when we remember the wonderful, strong and determined man Ron became. He lead us in public life, inspired us in private life while always having a positive outlook for everyone. We learned so very much from and about him over the years of our association.
The tribute of remembrance at Heritage Park on May 22 was indeed a fitting salute...

Dear Phyllis and Family, Our hearts and prayers go to all of you at this time of loss. Working with Ron on the Calgary Glenmore board was an experience for knowledge, vision and patience. Thank you for sharing his time for the benefit of many. Mike LaBerge

Dear Phyllis and family,
I first met Ron almost 40 years ago when he started his legal career at Code Hunter. Over the following years I had several files with him.
I was very impressed when Ron left his successful law practise in 1997 to enter public service full time. This as we all know entails considerable sacrifice for the entire family.
In the view of many ( including myself) Ron was one of the most impressive and outstanding members of the caucus and cabinet--one...

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the entire Stevens family at this difficult time.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

So sorry to hear of your loss Phyllis. We always enjoyed our time with Ron & you and the family. Always appreciated how you opened your home up to all of us. He worked very hard and will not be forgotten. Please know that you and your family our in our prayers. Richard & Jan Marz

Truly, we have lost one of the good ones. Thanks going upstairs for all the amazing good he did for the people of Alberta. I was fortunate to see some of this first hand. He led with courage and practicality. He will be missed.

Dear Phyllis and family, our hearts and prayers go out to all of you. Our family is deeply saddened of Ron's passing. We as so many others admired Ron and his work for Calgary Glenmore and Alberta. Ron was one swell guy.
