Kind hearted and genuine was what I remember Rory as being. I met Rory at Thorndike Street Grammar School and remembering him enjoying a good laugh. He made me and many of us laugh with him all through our early years. I only knew of Rory during our High School years as being "The Best Morning Homeroom Announcer" Palmer High School has ever had. Then later in life I would meet him in passing on his way to work or at a concert and it felt good to reminisce about grade school days. God bless...

I will never forget Rory doing the school announcements every morning over the intercom at Palmer High School in the early 1980's. We all looked forward to hearing him. Rest in Peace Rory "Hackman" Bacon.
