I will miss Rose very much. She has been my best friend since Jeff & Karen got married. From going to Virginia to see Karen & Jeff, grand kids, (Lauren & Patrick) by train, to going to movies and plays together, and having long telephone conversations about the town and the world in large. I hope she will watch over Jim and I and say hello to Curtis.

Our sincere sympathy at the death of your beloved mother, Rose. Yesterday, Geraldine, Frances and I were with Alma (Carini) Doak and her large family for Thanksgiving dinner. We talked of Rose and we were so happy that we were all together with her this past summer for lunch at the Hideaway in Old Lyme. We so enjoyed her company and driving her back home to Clinton. Thanks, Shellane, for driving her over. She had a great time. We all wish that we could be with you for the wake and funeral, but it doesn't seem that we will make it. I am back at my parish, St. Matthew's in Tolland, for the weekend. I will remember her at our Masses this weekend and will say a special Mass for her this week. I have a lot of good memories of the family, especially visiting your grandmother, Louisa (Giga) on Grove St. and your great uncle Edwardo in Italy after he had turned 100 years old. Your uncle Willy and I talked about his many visits there. I have many photos of that visit. Maybe someday we will be together to view them. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. I feel honored to have met such a wonderful lady. Always smiling always happy to stop and chat through-out town. Rose you will be missed so much especially every year at the St. Marys craft fair, I will miss seeing you at Stop and Shop and around town. Rose was the most, words escape me, but I will try - loving, kind, funny, sweet, friendly, faithful and bright - person. She was truly an incredible force in my life and for so many others. I will miss her terribly but I know she is at peace - Heaven waited for her as long as possible, so it will be a better place for her being there, and but a sadder place for us here without her.
