Rose Viola (nee Fallucca), 88, passed away at New Vanderbilt Health Care Center on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Born and raised in South Beach, Staten Island, NY, Mrs. Viola graduated from Curtis High School. She worked for Chemical Bank in Manhattan as a Proof Operator.
A longtime parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, Mrs. Viola enjoyed bowling and ballroom dancing. She was also an excellent chef, whose Italian specialties delighted her family and friends. She was most proud of her Italian Cream Puff dessert.
"Mom was a sharp, quick-witted woman," said her son John. "She was an extremely intelligent lady whose life lessons and unique personality will always be remembered."
Mrs. Rose Viola was the beloved wife of the late Dominick Viola who recently passed away in July 2020. She was also the loving mother of John Viola and the late Debra Meadows DiPrima. Mrs. Viola is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Johnny, Shane and Alexandra and dear brother, Jimmy Fallucca and sister, Nina Fallucca.
A. Azzara Funeral Home, 183 Sand Lane, Staten Island, NY 10305 has been entrusted with Mrs. Rose Viola's funeral arrangements which include visiting on Thursday from 3pm to 7pm. Chapel Service at the funeral home on Thursday at 5pm. Arrangements also include private cremation.Read More
