Porter Loring Mortuary Obituary

A bright San Antonio light went out on June 18th, 2018. Far too early, and totally unexpectantly, Roy Braswell was taken from us due to complications from a cerebral aneurysm. Roy was born on November 29, 1960, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to LeRoy and Arline Braswell. After a few moves,...

Not sure what to say?

I never knew Roy, I just happened to stumble across an amazingingly designed home on YouTube and set out on a search to find the architect as we embark on building our home. Becoming an instant fan of his work and searching for more, I happened upon this sad news. It is true that great legacies far outlive the great people they belong to. Just reading his obituary made me shed a tear for a stranger that sounds like a great man and smile for everything he stood for and the craft he perfected....

Roy left this world unexpectedly but in the time he was here he had a positive impact on more people than most of us could have in 50 lifetimes.

Our deepest sympathies to Roy's family and work associates. Roy designed and architected three homes for us and all were of outstanding work and creativity. Roy's insights, creativity, detail and work ethic made working with him such a pleasure and rewarding experience. San Antonio has lost one of its most skilled architects that has left a significant imprint on this city with his creations. We are so saddened by his loss but know that God has a special place for him in heaven. Roy was an...

You will be missed my friend.

My deepest prayers for the Braswell family and we're so sorry for this youthful loss. Roy was quite an accomplished and highly regarded architect in the community. Special thoughts for Leroy and Arline at this sad happening as well as the rest of Roy's family and inner circle.

Very sorry to learn about Roy's passing. I always enjoyed working with him and for him. He was a very nice person and I am glad I knew him.

Truly saddened at the loss of Roy. He always had a smile and uplifting comments for myself and the Benchmark Plumbing employees involved in building his personal house. It was always to pleasure to see a new set of his plans arrive on my desk. Roy leaves a very large void not only in the architectural community, but also in the community of genuinely nice people. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Susan and all the folks at Braswell Architecture.

This breaks my heart. Roy was my best friend in high school, and almost 40 years later was still my best friend. Susan, Jeannette, Dennis and Mr. and Mrs. B, you all are in my thoughts and prayers. RIP my dear friend, you will be missed beyond belief.

Dear Mr And Mrs Braswell, Our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you at the loss of Roy. We love you and will pray God's comfort and consolation in this time.
