Joan, Roy and Jason I am saddened by the passing of Thorson. Our friendship dates back to 1948 when we were both five years old...my family lived on Hughes Road less than a mile from the McCrary's. Although I moved away more than fifty years ago; our bond as classmates at Athens High allowed our friendship to endure. I'll remember Thorson as a friend and a gentle man who loved his family, his God and treated everyone with respect.
