We were saddened by the news of Rubye's passing. Rubye sparked a rebirth to my father when they first met. As the now patriarch of the Becker family, I extend a warm thanks for the life Rubye brought to our family and sympathies to the Trapnell family.

Ms. Rubye was one of the first people I worked with when I came to GA in 1984. She and other members of the Candler Co. Historical Society worked tirelessly to document the history of what became the South Metter National Register Historic District. She was very dedicated to this project and others to preserve her beloved hometown. Ms. Rubye was always a pleasure to be around and work with. She served on the Historic Resources Advisory Committee for our Region for many years as well. So...

"Miss Rubye" you have been missed here in Metter for a while, but we knew you were in CA. Now you are missed from Metter in a different way, and we KNOW where you are today and eternally. We will strive to keep the jail ministry active and in your name. God requires a lot from those who can - we can; entering the jail "requires a lot" but exiting the jail we "receive a lot"
